Foreign Minister Tajani rules out Russian attack on Italy, urges calm
29 September 2025 09:20
Italy’s Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani stated that there is no threat to the republic from Russia or Russian-made drones.
“We must not dramatise the situation; there is nothing alarming for our country. I want to reassure everyone. This morning, I also spoke with Crosetto, we consulted, and we can all remain calm,” Il Fatto Quotidiano quoted Tajani as saying.
According to him, he does not believe that Russia intends to attack Italy.
“I can refute that. However, our air defence is always vigilant and attentive. The effectiveness of the Air Force remains high, both on the ground and in the air, so Italians can feel safe,” he emphasised.
