Foreign Ministry: Russia, Türkiye still discuss parameters of gas hub project

The parameters of the gas hub project in Türkiye are still being discussed, including at the highest level, Russian Foreign Ministry’s Economic Cooperation Department Director Dmitry Birichevsky said.

He also noted that Türkiye was chosen for the organisation of the gas distribution centre because its role as a transit country for Europe has recently grown significantly, Gazeta.Ru reports.

"At the same time, cooperation between Moscow and Ankara in the gas sector is of a strategic nature and is not subject to political conjuncture," Birichevsky said.
