Türkiye targets online criminals in sweeping nationwide raids, over 400 detained Video
A sweeping operation across 29 provinces in Türkiye has led to the detention of hundreds of individuals suspected of involvement in cybercrime, according to the country's Interior Minister.
In a statement on X, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said the week-long operation had resulted in the detention of 423 people, Caliber.Az reports.

The suspects face a range of charges, including aggravated fraud, illegal betting, dissemination of child abuse material online, offences related to payment systems, and hacking of information networks.
Of those detained, 145 have been formally arrested, while 128 are under judicial supervision pending further proceedings. The remainder are still undergoing legal processes.
Authorities also seized a substantial amount of unregistered firearms and digital materials during the raids.
In addition, assets worth an estimated 5 billion Turkish lira (over $125 million) were confiscated as part of the crackdown.
