Russian forces shoot down eight Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight
Russian air defence systems have destroyed eight Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over the night of June 2 to 3.
Three of the drones were shot down over the Black Sea, two each over the Kursk and Belgorod regions, and one over the Sea of Azov, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Russian Ministry of Defence.
To recall, from June 1 to 2, the Russian forces shot down 316 Ukrainian drones, including 205 outside the zone of the military operation in Ukraine. Russian air defence systems also shot down two British Storm Shadow missiles and four American JDAM air-dropped bombs.
Between 8:10 p.m. on June 1 and 2:00 a.m. Moscow time on June 2, a total of 162 Ukrainian drones were destroyed. Of these, 57 were downed over the Kursk region, 31 over Belgorod, 27 over Lipetsk, 16 over Voronezh, 11 each over Bryansk and Ryazan, six over Oryol, two over Crimea, and one over the Tambov region.
