Former Russian deputy labour minister found dead in Moscow

Alexei Sklyar, former Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Russia, was found dead in his private residence in Moscow, authorities said. Preliminary information suggests that the cause of death was suicide.

Sklyar, 50, was discovered on the threshold of his home, with the door reportedly left open. Investigators are currently working to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media. 

According to some public sources, Sklyar reportedly sent a message to friends before his death, accusing his wife of responsibility for his passing.

Sklyar served as Deputy Minister of Labour from 2018 to 2022.
