Fraudsters hack Russian mayor’s Telegram account

Scammers have hacked the personal Telegram account of Igor Shutenkov, mayor of Ulan-Ude, Russia.

Shutenkov wrote on Telegram that friends and acquaintances had begun receiving calls and messages from his account, requesting money transfers, Caliber.Az reports.

The mayor urged citizens to stay vigilant: avoid clicking on suspicious links, do not transfer funds to unknown individuals, and do not share personal information, including phone numbers and bank card details.
