Georgia sets clear condition for restoring rail links with Russia

The restoration of Georgia’s territorial integrity remains the sole precondition for reopening railway connections with Russia, Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili stated.

Papuashvili noted that there are currently no communications underway between the Georgian government and Moscow regarding the restoration of rail links, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.

“The Georgian government has no communication on this matter. As for restoring relations with the Russian Federation, we have spoken about this many times. There is a simple precondition. It is the restoration of Georgia’s territorial integrity,” Papuashvili said.
