23 July 2026 13:30

Georgia and Singapore have discussed prospects for expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as strengthening political and cultural ties as part of a meeting between Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Seah Kian Peng, the Speaker of Singapore's parliament.

During the talks, the sides focused on Georgia's favourable investment climate and business environment, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.

Earlier, Kobakhidze met with Singaporean President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.

On the first day of the visit, the two countries signed agreements covering infrastructure, finance and education.

The Georgian delegation also held meetings with Singapore's ministers of trade, transport and innovation, as well as representatives of fintech companies and the chief executive of Changi Airports International.
