Georgian FM embarks on official visit to Türkiye for key talks
Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili is set to embark on an official visit to Türkiye, where she will meet with her Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, in the capital city Ankara.
The visit, aims to strengthen the strategic partnership between Georgia and Türkiye, Caliber.Az reports per Georgian media.
Botchorishvili emphasized the importance of bilateral relations and expressed optimism about addressing key issues that would foster the development of both nations and contribute positively to regional stability.
"Besides our longstanding strategic partnership with Türkiye, there are numerous important matters that we need to discuss, which should play a significant role in the future development of our region," Botchorishvili stated ahead of her departure.
This visit reflects the growing collaboration between Georgia and Türkiye, two key players in the Caucasus region, as they continue to explore avenues for further cooperation in political, economic, and security domains. The discussions are expected to focus on a wide range of issues, strengthening diplomatic ties and enhancing mutual interests.
Earlier, on February 19, fruitful cooperation between Georgia and Türkiye across various sectors was discussed in a meeting between the Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili and Ali Kaan Orbai, the Turkish Ambassador to the country.
The sides discussed prospects of deepening the strategic partnership between the two nations.
