Minister: Türkiye sees over 2,000 traffic accidents during Eid al-Adha holiday VIDEO
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has said that at least 26 people lost their lives and 3,590 others were injured in 2,238 traffic accidents across Türkiye during the first three days of Eid al-Adha holiday.
“Don’t let the holiday turn into tragedy for you or your loved ones. Roads are meant to bring people closer, not tear them apart,” Caliber.Az reports, citing Yerlikaya’s message on X.

The minister added that to help curb further incidents, road safety enforcement has been stepped up. Traffic police carried out inspections on over 1.35 million vehicles in just three days, as part of a broader campaign to ensure safer travel during the busy holiday season.
