Large polymer fire breaks out in Russia's Naberezhnye Chelny

Firefighters in Naberezhnye Chelny are battling a large fire at a production site, where polymer materials caught fire over an area of approximately 6,000 square meters.

Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations said the blaze is burning in an open area at 20/2 Avtoremontnaya Street and involves polymer products. No injuries have been reported.

City authorities said emergency services received the call at 2:46 a.m. Moscow time. The response includes 70 firefighters and 23 pieces of equipment working to contain the fire.
