German Bundestag president arrives in Kyiv PHOTO

President of Germany’s Bundestag (parliament), Bärbel Bas, arrived in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv on Sunday.

She is expected to take part in commemorative events dedicated to the end of World War II in Europe, Caliber.Az reports, citing a Bundestag official’s statement.

“Bundestag President Barbel Bas begins her visit to Kiev [Kyiv]. Today, May 8, she will commemorate all victims of WW2 and the National Socialist tyranny and hold political talks,” Bundestag secretariat chief Enrico Brissa wrote on Twitter.
