Google Play removes Ozon apps as company denies rule violations

The Ozon, Ozon Fresh and Ozon Travel apps are no longer available on Google Play, although the services were not subject to sanctions, Ozon’s press service told Interfax.

“The Ozon, Ozon Fresh and Ozon Travel apps are unavailable on Google Play. Ozon has not violated Google Play’s rules. We would also like to remind you that the Ozon marketplace, Ozon Fresh, Ozon Travel and Ozon Select are not under sanctions,” the company’s press service said.

The company added that Android users can download the apps through RuStore, AppGallery and Galaxy Store.

Earlier this week, the Ozon Bank app was removed from Google Play over sanctions imposed on the financial institution. The United Kingdom imposed sanctions on Ozon Bank in early August, while the bank was added to the European Union’s sanctions list in July.
