Heavy rainfall triggers flooding in northwestern Türkiye PHOTO
Unexpected and intense rainfall in the İnegöl district in northwestern Türkiye has caused flooding, significantly disrupting daily life in several rural and mountainous settlements.
The İsaören and Süpürtü areas were among the most affected, where heavy precipitation quickly led to water accumulation on roads, while basements and ground floors of some homes were inundated, Caliber.Az reports per Turkish media.

Fire services and water utility teams from BUSKİ have been deployed to the affected areas to pump out water and clear drainage systems, with heavy machinery used in some locations.
Evacuation efforts have also begun in the most severely affected homes. Authorities warned that the risk of further flooding remains due to continuing rainfall and urged residents to exercise caution.
