Georgia braces for heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms, hail

Forecasters have warned of worsening weather in Georgia, with heavy rains expected across the country from August 13 to 15.

They said heavy rains will be accompanied by possible thunderstorms, hail and strong winds, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, the expected precipitation could significantly raise water levels in rivers and trigger landslides and mudflows in hilly and mountainous areas.
