Hezbollah claims drone strikes destroyed Israeli armoured vehicles in Lebanon
Hezbollah said its fighters used combat drones and other weapons in a series of attacks against Israeli forces in southern Lebanon, claiming to have destroyed four armoured vehicles and targeted multiple military positions.
In a statement published on the group's Telegram channel, Hezbollah said its fighters launched “Ababil” kamikaze drones at an Israeli military convoy near the village of Yohmur al-Shaqif. The group claimed the drones successfully struck two Israeli Merkava tanks, Caliber.Az reports.
Hezbollah also said two additional armoured vehicles were disabled near the town of Majdal Zoun, where its fighters allegedly halted an advance by Israeli forces.
According to the statement, the group carried out 15 operations against Israeli troops and military installations on June 12, using guided missiles, mortars, and drones.
Among the targets cited by Hezbollah were a hotel in Ras al-Naqoura that it said was being used as a military headquarters by Israeli forces and a logistics supply facility in Aytarouna.
The group also reported conducting attacks in the vicinity of Zautar al-Sharqiya, Tayr Harfa, Shamaa, El-Kantara, El-Kouzah, and El-Edeisa.
