ICRC vehicles freely move along Khankendi-Lachin road

Seven cars belonging to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) passing through Shusha were facilitated to move along the Khankendi-Lachin road on February 2.

The vehicles' unhindered movement has been ensured, a Report correspondent informs from the scene.

Thus, six cars and one truck moved from Khankendi to Lachin.

The car carried people of Armenian origin.

This demonstrates that there are no restrictions on the movement of humanitarian vehicles

The protest on the Khankendi-Lachin road through Shusha against the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits in Karabakh has been going on for 53 days.

Thus, a protest on a section of the road controlled by Russian peacekeepers in Shusha is being held by Azerbaijani activists and members of non-governmental organisations on ecology (NGOs) demanding an end to environmental terror in the Karabakh economic region.

On December 2022, on December 3 and 7, as a result of the discussions held under the command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, a team of specialists from the economy, ecology and natural resources ministries, the State Service for Property Issues under the Economy Ministry and the Azergold closed-type Joint stock company was to conduct preliminary monitoring. However, due to the inaction of the peacekeepers, the monitoring did not take place.
