Iran accuses US of violating conflict settlement agreements
Iran has accused the United States of violating international law and previously agreed arrangements aimed at ending the conflict, following recent US strikes on Iranian territory.
In a statement, Iran’s Foreign Ministry strongly condemned what it described as attacks carried out by the US military in the early hours of Sunday, June 28.
“The Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic strongly condemns the airstrikes carried out by the terrorist US military in the early hours of Sunday. These attacks, which constitute a clear violation of Article 2(4) of the UN Charter, as well as Article 1 of the Memorandum of Understanding on ending the imposed war, demonstrate that the US regime places no value on its commitments,” the ministry said.
The Iranian government added that it remains prepared to defend the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in accordance with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, which recognizes the right of self-defense.
