Iran continues to deny Trump's claim of scheduled US talks in Doha
Iran has denied U.S. President Donald Trump's claim that Iranian and U.S. officials are set to meet in Doha, saying no such talks are planned.
"Of course, the request came from the Trump regime, but Iran will not be sending a delegation to such a meeting," Seyed Mohammad Marandi wrote on X, Caliber.Az reports.
Marandi was responding to Trump's statement that representatives of the two countries would meet in the Qatari capital on June 30.

Earlier, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi also said no technical meetings with the United States were scheduled for this week.
The denial comes after Trump announced on June 29 that Washington and Tehran would hold talks just days after a series of military exchanges heightened tensions between the two countries.
"Iran has requested a meeting. It will take place tomorrow in Doha!" Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.
Meanwhile, Western media reported that a U.S. technical team preparing for nuclear talks with Iran had travelled from Switzerland to Doha.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed during an appearance on Fox & Friends that special envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff would travel to Qatar for "high-level meetings" concerning the memorandum of understanding signed earlier this month.
