Iran outlines conditions for negotiations with US

Iran will enter negotiations with the United States solely on its own initiative, Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesperson for Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, said, in remarks reported by Tasnim News Agency.

“This will only happen when the idea of taking action against the Iranian people is completely cleansed from your dirty mind. Our first and last word from day one has been, is, and will be the same: people like us will never negotiate with people like you,” the Iranian military official stressed.

Earlier, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that the United States would not scale down its military operation against Iran during any period of contact with Tehran.
