Iran rejects reports of possible transfer of nuclear materials abroad
20 April 2026 13:10
Iran has denied that the removal or transfer of its nuclear materials was discussed in any round of negotiations.
Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Esmail Baqaei said that the issue of moving enriched nuclear materials out of the country was not raised in either current or previous talks, Caliber.Az reports per Iranian media.
Baqaei emphasised that the idea of transferring Iran’s enriched uranium to the United States or any other country “is not on the table” for Tehran.
He said Iran’s official position is that all nuclear materials and related scientific achievements must remain within its territory. He also dismissed reports suggesting any agreement in this regard as “completely untrue”.
