Iran’s supreme leader to stay out of public view until war ends – TASS
Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei will not appear at public events while the military conflict with Israel and the United States continues, an Iranian source told TASS.
“His Excellency will not appear in public in the near future for security reasons. The government is waiting for the situation to normalize. After that, he will appear in public,” the source said.
The source stressed that Khamenei’s absence from public appearances is solely due to security concerns and the ongoing state of war.
According to the source, Russia is a close partner of Iran and described Putin as a friend of the republic. For that reason, the source said it is possible that Khamenei’s first phone call and first meeting after returning to public view could be with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
