Iran says Strait of Hormuz will remain under control until war ends
Iran will maintain control over the Strait of Hormuz while the war with the United States and Israel continues, reopening it once the conflict end.
A representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader in India, Abdul Majid Hakeem Ilahi made the remarks in his interview with Russian media.
“Since the war has not ended, Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz, but I am confident that after the war it will be open, and countries will benefit from it,” he said.
On February 28, the United States and Israel initiated a military campaign against Iran, with major Iranian cities, including Tehran, coming under sustained strikes. In response, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced a large-scale retaliatory operation targeting Israel.
Military installations associated with the United States were also struck across Bahrain, Jordan, Iraq, Qatar, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.
