Iran, Türkiye discuss US-Israeli strikes in phone call
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan discussing the US and Israeli military strikes on Iran.
According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, during the call, Araghchi condemned the attacks, including a morning strike on a girls’ school in Minabe that resulted in the deaths of students, describing the incidents as violations of the UN Charter and crimes against international peace and security, Caliber.Az reports.
He underscored Iran’s right to defend itself by all means necessary.
Araghchi also reiterated Iran’s commitment to maintaining good relations and fostering friendship with all regional countries.
He characterised the strikes as not only directed against Iran but as a broader threat to the stability of the region and Muslim communities. The minister urged Muslim countries in the region to act to counter "Israeli efforts to destabilise the region."
