Iran urges Gulf states to prevent use of territory against Tehran
Iran has called on the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait to uphold good neighbourly relations and prevent their territories from being used against Tehran.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, made the appeal in a letter addressed to António Guterres and the United Nations Security Council.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran expresses its strong and unequivocal protest against the aforementioned unlawful actions and firmly urges the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait to adhere to the principles of good neighbourliness and to prevent further use of their territories against the Islamic Republic of Iran,” the letter stated, as cited by the agency.
