Iran vows to “correct” Trump’s “delusion” over Strait of Hormuz

US President Donald Trump is mistaken in calling the Strait of Hormuz American, and Iran will correct this misconception soon, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi said.

Earlier, Trump published a map showing the Strait of Hormuz as US territory.

“Just as Trump correctly wrote the name of the ever-Persian Gulf, his delusion regarding the Strait of Hormuz will soon either be corrected, or we will correct the delusions of this delusional man,” the deputy foreign minister wrote on X.

Gharibabadi also noted that Trump correctly referred to the body of water as the Persian Gulf in his post, although he had previously sought to rename it the Arabian Gulf.
