Iranian FM warns of “heavy price” after Israeli strikes
Iran has accused Israel of carrying out a series of strikes on key infrastructure across the country, including major industrial and energy facilities, according to a statement by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
In a post on social media cited by Caliber.Az, Araghchi said the attacks targeted critical sites, including two of Iran’s largest steel plants, a power station, and civilian nuclear facilities.
"Israel has hit 2 of Iran's largest steel factories, a power plant and civilian nuclear sites among other infrastructure. Israel claims it acted in coordination with the U.S.
Attack contradicts POTUS extended deadline for diplomacy.
Iran will exact HEAVY price for Israeli crimes," he wrote.
The statement comes amid rising tensions following continued exchanges between Israel and Iran. It also follows earlier reports that a projectile struck the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant late on Friday evening, March 27.
