10 June 2026 15:30
Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for the national security committee of Iran’s parliament, said on Wednesday that Tehran would not abandon Lebanon or Hezbollah, warning that Iran could intervene directly in southern Lebanon if required.
“People should be assured that we will not abandon Lebanon, because if the enemy finishes off Lebanon and Hezbollah, it will come after us next,” Rezaei said.
He added that Iran was prepared to escalate its involvement if circumstances demanded. “If necessary, we will enter south Lebanon directly, and we are not afraid of returning to the battlefield.”
