IRGC: Operation “True Promise 3” just start of Iran’s revenge against Israel

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced that its military Operation “True Promise 3”, launched in response to an Israeli airstrike that killed several senior Iranian commanders, is only the beginning of what it calls a broader effort of national revenge.

“Israel must understand — the era of impunity is over. Operation ‘True Promise 3’ is only the beginning. Our response will continue, and it will be severe and irreversible,” Caliber.Az reports, citing the IRGC’s message.

The IRGC confirmed that seven senior officers were killed in the Israeli strike. Among them were key members of General Amir Ali Hajizadeh’s inner command circle: Mahmoud Bagheri, Davoud Shekhian, Mohammad Bagher Taherpour, Mansour Safarpour, Masoud Tayyeb, Khosrow Hassani, and Javad Jarsara. Iran claims it responded within hours: “On the night following the strike on Tehran, our forces delivered a crushing blow to the enemy under Operation ‘True Promise 3’, inflicting serious damage. This was only the first wave.”

The IRGC emphasized that the deaths have galvanized its forces rather than weakened them: “Though the loss of these commanders is a deep wound, their path will be continued. Their sacrifice has fortified the determination of our people and armed forces to resist international Zionism.”

The statement concluded with a note that funeral arrangements for the fallen officers will be announced in due course.

On June 13, the military operation launched by Israel against key components of Iran’s nuclear and military infrastructure has escalated to a much harsher level. The objective remains the complete elimination of the Islamic Republic’s capability to develop nuclear weapons.

According to the latest data, the Israeli Air Force has struck more than a hundred targets, deploying approximately 200 combat aircraft and over 330 precision-guided munitions, according to official figures. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) emphasises that this is a large-scale, coordinated operation targeting both military facilities and the nuclear programme infrastructure across the entire territory of Iran.
