Iskander missile system collides with truck on highway near Armavir

The Iskander missile system was involved in an accident on the "Kavkaz" federal highway near Armavir.

The military vehicle collided with a heavy truck. The KamAZ was carrying five-liter water bottles. In the accident the cargo flew out onto the road, Kavkazsky Uzel reports citing Kubanskie Novosti newspaper.

There were people trapped in the vehicle.

Rescuers arrived and unlocked the victims and handed them over to the ambulance team.

According to the Novokubansky emergency rescue squad, the road accident occurred on the highway near the turn-off to Kurganinsk. 

The circumstances of the accident are being established.

Comments from representatives of the Ministry of Defence on the incident have not yet been received.
