Russia claims drone strikes on Ukrainian fuel depot, logistics facility
The Russian Ministry of Defence has said its forces used “Geran” unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to strike a fuel and lubricants storage facility at an oil depot in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region, which it claims was being used by the Ukrainian military.
“The Ministry of Defence has published footage of the strike on a fuel and lubricants storage facility at the ‘Kantserovka’ oil depot, which was being used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, carried out by specialists from the unmanned systems troops using ‘Geran’ UAVs near the village of Vysokogornoye in the Zaporizhzhia region,” the statement reads, Caliber.Az reports.
The ministry also reported a separate strike using “Geran-2 Siker” UAVs against a logistics facility operated by Nova Poshta in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region. It alleged the site was being used to store weapons, drones, and related components.
“The Ukrainian Armed Forces were using it to store weapons, drones, and components,” the ministry said.
