Israel warns of further strikes on Iran if threats persist
Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has warned that Israel will launch further strikes against Iran if it continues to face threats from Tehran, vowing a powerful response to any future aggression.
“Israel’s long arm will reach you in Tehran, Tabriz, Isfahan, and anywhere you try to threaten or harm Israel. There is no place to hide,” Katz declared on July 10 during an air force graduation ceremony, according to a statement released by his office, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
“If we must return, we will do so with greater force,” he added, signalling Israel’s readiness to resume hostilities if necessary.
The remarks come weeks after Israel launched a 12-day air campaign against Iran in June, targeting key military and nuclear sites. The escalation had sparked widespread fears of a broader regional conflict. The hostilities were halted following a U.S.-brokered ceasefire, announced by former President Donald Trump on June 23.
During the operation, Israeli forces struck multiple Iranian nuclear facilities, citing concerns that Tehran was advancing toward the development of a nuclear weapon—an allegation Iran continues to deny. The United States also took part in the strikes, intensifying pressure on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.
Tensions between the two countries remain high, with Israeli officials reiterating that they will not tolerate any threats to national security. Iran, for its part, maintains that its nuclear programme is strictly peaceful.
