Israeli forces kill second top Hezbollah figure as strikes intensify in Lebanon
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the elimination of Hezbollah militant Muhammad Ahmad Haris in southern Lebanon, who commanded an anti-tank unit in the Shebaa Farms area.
Haris was killed in the Nabatieh province, Caliber.Az reports, citing a statement by the IDF press service.
The deceased commander was involved in multiple attacks on Israel and was planning new attacks, the Israeli military says.
Earlier today, the IDF confirmed the killing of Yasin Abd al-Manam Izz al-Din, Hezbollah’s artillery commander in the Litani sector. He was reportedly working to reestablish Hezbollah positions in order to resume rocket attacks on Israeli territory. He had previously been involved in numerous attacks on Israel.
In addition, Lebanese sources reported that on the night of June 18 to 19, an IDF drone struck a vehicle in the Kfar Jouz area, northeast of Tyre and about 10 km from the Israeli border. Two people were said to have been killed.
