Israeli military says over 130 militant sites dismantled in southern Gaza VIDEO
The Israeli military says it has dismantled more than 130 sites linked to armed groups in the city of Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip, as operations continue in and around the city.
According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), soldiers from the Golani Brigade, operating under the 36th Division, worked alongside Yahalom unit combat engineers to locate and destroy a tunnel approximately 500 meters long and 13 meters deep. The tunnel was found in the Khan Younis area, a densely populated urban center in southern Gaza, Caliber.Az reports, citing the statement released by IDF.
The IDF stated that over the past week, its forces engaged in combat with militants, resulting in dozens of deaths. The dismantled sites reportedly included weapons stockpiles, booby-trapped buildings, observation posts, and launch positions allegedly used to fire on Israeli troops.
Military operations in Gaza are ongoing, with the Israeli army saying they are aimed at preventing further attacks and ensuring the security of civilians, particularly those living near the border with the enclave.
