Jordan, Saudi Arabia condemn attack on UAE consulate in Iraqi Kurdistan
The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned the recent attack on the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Consulate in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
In a post on X, the ministry emphasised the importance of adhering to international law, including the 1949 Geneva Conventions and the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, to ensure the protection of diplomatic missions and their personnel, Caliber.Az reports.

Jordan reaffirmed its solidarity and friendly relations with the UAE, stating its readiness to support the Gulf nation in safeguarding its diplomatic facilities.
Al Jazeera reported that the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs also issued a strong condemnation of the attack, describing the repeated shelling of diplomatic buildings as a clear violation of international law.
