Kanye West Russia сoncerts face second lawsuit

A second lawsuit has been filed against Say Agency, the promoter of Kanye West’s planned concerts in Russia, amid uncertainty over the performances, Russian media outlet SHOT reported.

According to SHOT, Alexei Z. filed a consumer rights lawsuit against the agency with a Moscow magistrates’ court. The case was registered on September 16.

The second lawsuit follows a claim filed against Say Agency on September 15 at the Central District Court in Voronezh. The court is due to begin considering that case on October 9.

According to court records, the plaintiff, Yevgeny Rasskazov, purchased four tickets to Kanye West’s show from Say Agency for 145,200 rubles. He later learned of “circumstances casting doubt on the event taking place.”

Rasskazov was refused a refund and was told that the tickets had been purchased as part of a promotional offer and were therefore non-refundable.

The lawsuits come after Kanye West’s concerts in St. Petersburg reportedly disappeared from the artist’s tour schedule. The performances had initially been announced for October 10 and 11 at Gazprom Arena.
