Kazakhstan, China scale up nuclear energy cooperation framework PHOTO
Kazakhstan and China have held the first meeting of their joint working group on cooperation in civilian nuclear energy during a visit by Wang Hongzhi, head of China’s National Energy Administration.
The meeting was co-chaired by Almasadam Satkaliyev on the Kazakh side, alongside Chinese representatives.
During the talks, both sides discussed key issues related to the peaceful use of nuclear energy and reaffirmed their intention to further develop cooperation in this field.
Particular emphasis was placed on strengthening coordination and expanding practical interaction between the relevant agencies of the two countries.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties signed a protocol recording the agreements reached and outlining future directions for cooperation in civilian nuclear energy.
