03 January 2024 17:01
Kazakhstan's satellite and Internet TV operator TVCOM has banned several Russian TV channels from its network, Gazeta.ru reports citing the press service of the communications operator.
"It was decided to exclude TV channels of the family of LLP 'PKVS Kazakhstan' from the broadcast network," the message says.
It is specified that the operator will stop broadcasting such channels as "First Channel CIS", "Poekhali", "Dom Kino", "Karusel", "Bobyor", "Oh!" and others.
According to the company, this decision was made as part of the process of reducing the share of channels with an informational agenda and increasing the number of entertainment, educational and recreational content.
