Kazakhstan president heads to Moscow for WWII anniversary

The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, is set to visit Moscow, where he will take part in ceremonial events marking the 81st anniversary of Victory in World War II, as per Kazakh media.
In Moscow, the upcoming working visit has been described as a “friendly step.”
During the trip, a separate meeting between Tokayev and Russian President Vladimir Putin is also planned.
At the same time, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has likewise departed for a working visit to Moscow.
Earlier reports had indicated that the leaders of Central Asian states would not travel to Moscow for the Victory Day parade.
