Kazakhstan's president arrives in St. Petersburg, Russia
Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in St. Petersburg, Russia, after his visit to Japan.
According to the press service of the President of Kazakhstan, the head of state was met at Pulkovo International Airport by St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov and Leningrad Region Governor Alexander Drozdenko.
Tokayev will take part in the informal CIS leaders' meeting, scheduled for December 22. The informal meeting is an annual pre-New Year gathering hosted by Russian President Vladimir Putin. It typically features a relaxed format with discussions on cultural, humanitarian, and low-key political cooperation among the CIS members.
The participating heads of state are expected to discuss regional cooperation and future integration efforts.
