Kazakhstan, Sweden establish trade, economic commission

Kazakhstan and Sweden have established a bilateral commission on trade, economic, and investment cooperation during a visit to Astana by Diana Janse, Swedish State Secretary for Trade at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Diana Janse, who will participate in the Astana Mining & Metallurgy forum, held a meeting with Yersayin Nagaspayev, Kazakh Minister of Industry and Construction, Caliber.Az reports, citing Kazakh media.

Following the meeting, the sides signed a memorandum on the creation of the first Kazakhstan–Sweden Commission on Trade, Economic and Investment Cooperation.

The new platform is expected to serve as a mechanism for strengthening cooperation between government bodies, businesses, financial institutions, and research organisations in both countries.
