Krasnodar authories carry out raids into alleged Russian-Armenian organised crime group
Law enforcement agencies in Krasnodar have conducted searches as part of an ongoing criminal investigation into an alleged organised criminal group linked to serious violent and economic crimes.
Officials said the investigation is focused on individuals identified as Ruben Tatulyan (also known as Karakeyan, alias “Robson”) and Vigen Sarkisyan (also known as “Shlyapa”), who are suspected of involvement in murders, corporate raiding, and economic offences in the Krasnodar region, TASS reports.
The case is being investigated under Article 210 of the Criminal Code of Russia, which relates to the creation and leadership of a criminal organisation.
According to law enforcement sources, searches were carried out at three addresses linked to relatives of Sarkisyan, as well as at the office of notary Elena Lagodina, who investigators believe was under his influence. During the operations, authorities seized items and documents relevant to the case, including Glock and Makarov pistols.
Officials said the investigation is ongoing and further procedural actions are expected.
