Kremlin calls for calm, dialogue between Washington, Tehran

The Kremlin has expressed concern over the recent escalation between the United States and Iran, calling on all parties to show restraint and return to negotiations.

The remarks were made during a briefing by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

“We are concerned about this,” Peskov said. “We call on all sides of this conflict to exercise restraint.”

He added that “a new round of escalating tensions is fraught with further negative consequences for the situation in the region and for the global economy as a whole,” urging Washington and Tehran to resume dialogue and return to negotiations.
