Kremlin: Kyiv yet to respond to Moscow’s working groups proposal
Moscow has yet to receive a response from Kyiv regarding its proposal to establish three dedicated working groups aimed at improving the prisoner exchange process, according to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.
Speaking during a briefing, Peskov stated that there was still no clarity on whether Ukraine had accepted or rejected the initiative, which was presented following the latest round of negotiations in Istanbul. He noted that Russia is still waiting for Kyiv's position on the matter, Caliber.Az reports via TASS.
The third round of direct peace talks between Russia and Ukraine was held in Istanbul on July 23. During the meeting, the two sides agreed to conduct further exchanges involving not only military personnel but also civilians.
As part of its initiative to streamline and coordinate the process, Russia proposed the establishment of three online working groups with Ukraine to address political, military, and humanitarian issues.
