Moscow aligns with Trump, accuses Kyiv of delaying peace
Ukraine’s position in the ongoing conflict continues to weaken, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said, adding that Moscow shares US President Donald Trump’s view that the Ukrainian leadership is primarily responsible for delaying the peace process.
He warned that the situation is worsening for the Kyiv regime day by day, narrowing the corridor for decision-making, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
Peskov added that Moscow aligns with US President Donald Trump’s view that it is the Ukrainian leadership that is slowing the peace process. At the same time, he emphasised that Russian President Vladimir Putin maintains an open stance on negotiations, which is known to both Washington and Kyiv.
The Kremlin reiterated that it had repeatedly warned that refusing negotiations could further deteriorate Ukraine’s situation. Moscow proposed establishing working groups on political, humanitarian, and military issues, but, according to Peskov, Kyiv has not responded.
