Kremlin propagandist Solovyov narrowly escapes UAV attack
Russian state media reported that television host Vladimir Solovyov, widely known for his pro-Kremlin propaganda, and his film crew were caught near a suspected Ukrainian drone incident while filming a documentary on the R-280 “Novorossiya” highway.
The report, broadcast by Vesti, said the crew was working on a segment featuring personnel from the 19th Separate Battalion for Countering Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, which is tasked with protecting sections of the highway from drone attacks.
During an interview, the servicemen reportedly detected a drone described as loitering above the road in search of a target.
According to the report, the unit commander ordered the use of a patrolling FPV interceptor drone to neutralise the threat. The drone was destroyed shortly before it could carry out what was described as a potential strike on a civilian cargo truck.
