Kremlin: Putin ready for any talks, urges proper preparation
Russian President Vladimir Putin is prepared to hold meetings at any level, including top-level summits, provided they are thoroughly prepared in advance, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said.
“We see Russia’s and the president’s readiness for dialogue. And we see the president’s readiness for any meetings, including at the highest level. But they must be thoroughly prepared in advance,” Peskov told reporters, according to TASS.
Peskov also highlighted what Moscow describes as the constructive role of U.S. President Donald Trump in efforts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. In contrast, he criticised European nations for attempting to prolong the war.
“We see very constructive efforts by the U.S. president to support a settlement around Ukraine. And we see outrageous efforts by European countries to provoke the continuation of the war,” Peskov said.
