Kremlin says Ukraine peace deal remains "long and complex" process

Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said reaching a peace agreement with Ukraine remains a lengthy and complicated process requiring careful attention to detail.

Peskov commented on recent remarks by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who said Washington is prepared to act as a mediator in negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv only if there is tangible progress in the talks, according to Russian media.

According to Peskov, the United States is seeking to speed up efforts toward a settlement, but the conflict and the negotiations surrounding it remain highly complex.

The Kremlin spokesperson stressed that achieving a peace agreement would require detailed and careful work.
