Kremlin spokesman: Russia does not rule out Putin-Vučić contacts

Türkiye has presented proposals aimed at ensuring security in the Black Sea, but no substantive negotiations on the initiative have taken place since then, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

“Türkiye did indeed present its proposals on ensuring security in the Black Sea,” Peskov said, according to Russian media.

He added that Russia had not held substantive negotiations on the proposals since they were presented.

Peskov also said Russia did not rule out contacts between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić regarding gas supplies.

Separately, Peskov said Putin had supported Vyacheslav Volodin’s candidacy for a third term as chairman of Russia’s State Duma, citing his strong record.
