Kyiv reports coordinated strikes on Russian military logistics
Ukraine carried out a series of overnight strikes on Russian military and logistics infrastructure, targeting six tankers, two tugboats, an oil depot, bridges, and other facilities, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.
According to the military, the attacks were conducted during the night of July 16, 2026, and included strikes on vessels operating in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.
In a statement, the General Staff said:
"Six tankers and two tugboats were struck in the waters of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov."
The military claimed the targeted tankers were being used to support Russia's war effort.
"The tankers are used to transport Russian crude oil and petroleum products in circumvention of international sanctions, as well as to deliver fuel for the needs of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation."
